The back of the postcard reads “CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE EASTHAM, MASS. NAUSET LIGHT Nauset Light has a varied history. Originally constructed as three brick beacons in 1838, the first “Three Sisters of Nauset” were eventually washed into the ocean and replaced by three wooden towers in 1892. Then in 1923, the present red and white lighthouse was brought here from Chatham.”

In November, 1996, the lighthouse was moved 300 feet away from the edge of the dunes.
